Elderberries were not cultivated in Europe until 1960. But people soon noticed the many positive characteristics of the tree - its low susceptibility to disease, and its frost hardiness, for example. The plant quickly grew in popularity, and now it is hard to imagine the European landscape without it. For our Biotta Elderberry, we use Haschberg elderberries - the variety with the best quality and most intense flavour. At the end of the summer, the black berries are carefully hand-picked and pressed. The natural juice then produced in our plant is without artificial additives or added sugar. Thanks to the careful and gentle processing methods, this juice is fruitily mild, and a real treat for the palate. Elderberries are well known for their positive qualities.
