Why was special attention paid to the sugar content in the Biotta Fruity Ice Sticks?
We want to offer a natural, kid-friendly ice for health-conscious families. That's why we've deliberately kept the sugar content low:
Per stick (40 ml): 23 kcal / 5.3 g sugar
That's about 1/3 less sugar than regular water ice.
This way kids can enjoy their ice cream – and parents can feel good about it.
Why do we use Agave syrup instead of industrial sugar?
We consciously use organic Agave syrup as a natural alternative to granulated sugar.
It has a higher sweetness intensity, so less of it is needed, and provides a pleasant, balanced sweetness.
This creates a fruity ice that tastes great – without excessive sweetness.
Why do we rely on natural ingredients?
Because children deserve only the best.
Our Biotta Fruity Ice Sticks are made from 100% natural organic ingredients – without artificial flavors, colorants, or preservatives.
They are made with real fruit juices and purees, supplemented by freshly brewed tea for flavor and Agave syrup for a gentle sweetness and pleasant consistency.
For an ice that not only tastes good but also feels good.
How were the recipes developed?
Working together with the most important experts: children and their parents.
The first tests took place at a daycare center in Tägerwilen – very close to our location. Families from the region also tried the varieties and gave feedback.
In addition, we asked parents about their children's favorite flavors. This is how varieties were created that delight both young and old.
How must the Biotta Fruity Ice Sticks be stored?
Totally easy: The sticks can be stored at room temperature and don’t need to go into the freezer right away.
For the perfect enjoyment, simply freeze them about 5 hours before eating (shake briefly beforehand).
Ideal for stocking up – and ready to go when it gets hot.
Why are Biotta Fruity Ice Sticks packaged in single-use plastic?
The packaging must withstand high requirements during production – e.g., heat during filling and fast sealing.
Currently, there is still no sustainable alternative that meets these requirements without compromising quality and safety.
However, we are working to be able to use more environmentally friendly solutions in the future.
