Real flavor doesn't need excessive sugar.
We want to develop natural, kid-friendly products for health-conscious families. That’s why we’ve intentionally kept the sugar content low: On average, just 57 kcal/ 13 g sugar per 100 ml and 23 kcal/ 5.3 g sugar per 40ml stick – significantly less than conventional ice pops.
With the Fruity Ice Sticks, kids can enjoy their ice pops – and parents can feel good about it!
Agave nectar is a natural alternative to granulated sugar, offering greater sweetness with fewer calories – completely free of the typical sugar high.
Thanks to its low glycemic index, blood sugar levels rise less sharply and more slowly, ensuring energy is available more consistently.
This lets kids enjoy their ice cream with full flavor, while parents make a mindful choice.
We use 100% natural organic ingredients because we believe children deserve nothing but the best.
That's why we skip artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives that may be linked to unwanted side effects.
Our products are made with real fruit juices and purees, which not only deliver the natural flavor but also provide important nutrients and vitamins. The added freshly brewed tea helps round out the taste, while agave syrup adds a gentle sweetness and a softer texture to these products.
In this way, we promote healthy eating habits without compromising on quality and taste.
Our Fruity Ice Sticks were developed with plenty of love and care – and of course tested with the most important target group: children and their parents.
The first taste tests took place directly at the day care center in Tägerwilen, Biotta's hometown/production location. Parents from the local area also tried out the recipes together with their children and provided valuable feedback.
Additionally, we surveyed parents about their children's favorite fruit flavors. Based on these insights, we refined the recipes for a fruity ice cream experience that both young and old will enjoy.
Our Fruity Ice Sticks can be stored very easily at room temperature – ideal for grocery shopping! You don’t have to put them straight into the freezer and can transport them without any problems.
Only briefly (approx. 5 hours) before consumption do the sticks go into the freezer (don’t forget to shake them) to release their refreshing effect. This makes shopping more stress-free and storage even simpler!
Currently, there is no biodegradable film that meets the high production requirements. The packaging must withstand brief high heat, direct hot filling, and rapid sealing. The available eco-friendly alternatives are not yet stable enough without compromising the quality and safety of the Fruity Ice Sticks. That is why we are currently still using single-use plastic – but we are continuing to seek more sustainable solutions.
