Real taste doesn’t need excess sugar.
We want to develop natural, child-friendly products for health-conscious families. That’s why we’ve kept the sugar content deliberately low: an average of just 57 kcal/13 g sugar per 100 ml, and 23 kcal/5.3 g sugar per 40 ml stick – significantly less than traditional ice pops.
With the Biotta Fruity Ice Sticks, kids can enjoy their ice – and parents can feel good about it!
Agave syrup is a natural alternative to granulated sugar, offering more sweetness with fewer calories – entirely without the typical sugar rush.
Thanks to its low glycemic index, blood sugar levels rise less sharply and more slowly, so Energy is available more evenly.
This way, children enjoy their ice cream with full flavor, while parents make a conscious choice.
We use 100% natural organic ingredients because we believe children deserve nothing but the best.
That's why we skip artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives that may be linked to unwanted side effects.
Our products are made with real fruit juices and purees, which not only deliver the natural flavor but also provide important nutrients and vitamins. The added freshly brewed tea helps round out the taste, while agave syrup adds a gentle sweetness and a softer texture to these products.
In this way, we promote healthy eating habits without compromising on quality and taste.
Our Biotta Fruity Ice Sticks were developed with great care and love – and of course tested with the most important target group: children and their parents.
The first taste tests took place directly in the kindergarten in Tägerwilen, the hometown/production location of Biotta. Parents from the area also tested the recipes together with their children and gave valuable feedback.
In addition, we asked parents about their children's favorite fruit flavors. Based on these insights, we refined the recipes – for fruity ice cream fun that both young and old enjoy.
Our Biotta Fruity Ice Sticks can be stored very easily at room temperature – ideal for shopping! They don’t need to go straight into the freezer and can be transported without any issues.
Only a short time (approx. 5 hours) before eating, put the sticks into the freezer (don’t forget to shake them) to develop their refreshing effect. This makes shopping less stressful and storage even simpler!
Currently, there is no biodegradable film that meets the high production requirements. The packaging must withstand short-term high heat, direct hot filling, and fast sealing. The available eco-friendly alternatives are not yet stable enough for this purpose, without compromising the quality and safety of Biotta Fruity Ice Sticks. Therefore, we are currently still relying on single-use plastic – but we are continuing to work on finding more sustainable solutions.
